Though Deafheaven has hardly been on hiatus since the release of the 2013 LP Sunbather, it’s without a doubt that the announcement of their forthcoming third album New Bermuda falls upon eager ears.

After over two years of avid touring, critical acclaim and polarized album reviews, the band has signed to Anti Records and released a one-minute trailer for the new album. The short gives just a taste of the Deafheaven’s token aesthetic, leading in with a gentle but dissonant guitar piece. The stillness fades out completely before unraveling into noise for only a few teasing moments.

Recorded this spring with Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden, New Bermuda is due out this October.
