Tomorrow evening, SF based anti-tobacco production group Commune is throwing another of their ‘Commune Wednesdays’ – an ongoing series of free shows featuring some of the Bay’s most active and relevant bands. Tomorrow’s show is headlined by Creative Adult, who have been making dreamy, and psychedelic tinged post-punk since late 2012. Occasionally jammy, but often times driving and jangly, the group are currently recording their follow up to 2013’s ‘Psychic Mess‘, which will be their second LP on Run For Cover Records; one of the members’ countless collaborations with Jack Shirley at the Atomic Garden.

Joining them will be White Bike, Balms and various Popgang DJs. I’m not familiar with White Bike but they have members of Brooklyn’s Philharmonic, so you know they’re good students, and I have an affinity for scholars. Commune events are always well documented by local photographers, and feature limited prints and other art by friends. This will be one of Creative Adult’s last shows before they head out on a small run with Ceremony, so swing by and catch them, for free. Event page and details below.
