Even though Friendzone has been quiet recently, prepping for the release of 808s & Dark Grapes III with Main Attrakionz. Still, the forward-thinking production duo has remained prolific behind closed doors, remarking in notes accompanying a mix of unreleased material for Boiler Room earlier this year that: “
[W]e only managed to find time to release maybe 3 or 4 songs to the public in 2014. Our creative output, however, has not slowed. Our playlist of unreleased Friendzone tracks has swelled to well over 4 hours long, and much of it is among our proudest work.”
This week, Friendzone released While U Wait, a set of songs dedicated to A$AP Mob co-founder A$AP Yams, who passed away in January. You can listen to the entire set below and buy it on Bandcamp.
