To continue with our special #TBT series, we’re throwing it back to two years ago, looking specifically at 2013’s Phono Del Sol, which featured:
Thee Oh Sees
YACHT
Bleached
K.Flay
Marnie Stern
Blouse
Painted Palms
Radiation City
Social Studies
Cool Ghouls
B. Hamilton
2013 was the first year we brought on our second stage, adding an experience that helped to bring nearly 6 and a half hours of pure, uninterrupted music. We doubled our line-up and brought a great experience with eight food trucks, along with other awesome additions. Check out the teaser video of the 2013 Phono Del Sol below, which featured coveted garage-rockers Thee Oh Sees, electro-pop virtuosos YACHT and many, many more.
Everyone, including yours truly, remembers that year as the one where John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees invited everyone on stage to dance, mosh, and sing along. It’s definitely the part of that year’s Phono that I’ll never forget. Check out a short compilation of that moment below:
Join us this year on July 11 as Phono del Sol returns for its fifth year with headliners Tanlines, King Tuff, and Generationals performing alongside a handful of the Bay’s best bands: Sonny & The Sunsets, The Tropics, Everyone is Dirty, Scary Little Friends, and Tiaras. Tickets are only $30 in advance and available now.
