As we told you back in February, Everyone Is Dirty’s Sivan Lioncub has been suffering from liver failure due to an allergic reaction to Augmentin, an antibiotic she was taking to treat pneumonia. Back then, some of her closest pals banded together to throw a benefit show to help with her mounting medical bills, and now Tricycle Records – the label that released Everyone Is Dirty’s debut LP, 2014’s Dying Is Fun – is throwing its hat in the ring to help support this unique and vibrant Bay Area musician.
This Sunday at Bottom of the Hill, Tricycle Records presents a benefit for Sivan, featuring locals The Lovemakers, The Union Trade, Brasil, Paisano, and DJ Pegasister (none other than Ms. Julie Schuchard herself). The show kicks off early – 5:30pm to be exact – because this is more than just a live show. There’s also a family friendly barbecue that will let all of Sivan’s friends and supporters gather to show their support, and 100 percent of the event’s proceeds will go to help with her medical bills.
So come on out to Bottom of the Hill on Sunday night and help one the Bay’s most exciting young musicians get back on her feet after a major health scare. Full details on the show, as well as a stream of Dying Is Fun, can be found below.
(And don’t forget: If you want to see Everyone Is Dirty live, they’re playing every Tuesday night during May at Amnesia as part of a month-long residency, plus they’ll be at a little festival we call Phono del Sol in July.)
