Produced by Brian Deck, the album notably features contributions from the Magik*Magik Orchestra, but it’s Bluhm’s strong vocals and knack for earworm melodies that are center stage here. Equally impressive: the band’s ability to seamlessly fold in elements of many genres, country and folk among them, into some extremely listenable rock-pop.
