Pizza Punx Anniversary Show

The North Bay’s Pizza Punx started in 2013 as a way to alleviate the boredom of living in Sonoma County with a little injection of rock and roll. “Pizza Punx is about fuckin’ keeping it real and being bored as fuck and maybe giving a fuck about making your area a little more interesting,” Papa Pizza, one of their anonymous leaders, told the Oak Leaf News last year. “It’s really about rock ‘n’ roll and everything therein, eating too much pizza, and maybe vomiting periodically throughout the night at different people’s houses.”

Sounds like a valiant mission, if you ask me. Well, that mission continues on Tuesday, March 31 when Pizza Punx celebrate their two-year anniversary with a blowout party at, yep, the Refuge Christian Fellowship’s church in Santa Rosa, and the lineup is befitting of such a momentous occasion. LA-via-SF garage rock stalwarts White Fence headline the evening, with support from non-other than Peach Kelli Pop, Australia’s Twerps, local fav Tony Molina, and Sheer Mag.

Below, listen to Pizza Punx’s 2014 mixtape The Recipe, Volume #1 featuring the likes of CCR Headcleaner, Wild Moth, Cool Ghouls, and more, and then get full details on the upcoming two-year anniversary show.
