San Francisco’s only rock and roll beer festival, The Bay Brewed, is back for a fourth year of pairing outstanding local beer and local music! Taking place at The Chapel on March 29, 2015, this year’s festival offers performances by four great San Francisco Bay Area bands and unlimited tastings from nine San Francisco breweries all day long thanks to the SF Brewers Guild. Between now and the festival, we’ll be previewing each of the participating breweries, giving a bit of history and talking about some of our favorite brews from all of these great San Francisco beer makers.

Pizza and beer may be one of the most reliable food and beverage pairings out there, but it still feels like a surprise to find an establishment that offers great pizza and a stellar beer selection. Even rarer still are places like Pizza Orgasmica & Brewing Co., whose desire for refreshing, “naturally aphrodisiac” beer led them to the introduction of Orgasmica Peach Pale Ale and Orgasmica Raspberry Hefeweizen over ten years ago.

Suffice to say, the combination was a hit! Pizza Orgasmica’s love of great food and beer now extends to five restaurants, four in SF, serving twelve different types of beer, including a number of ales, pale ales, and hefeweizens. And don’t sleep on their hoppy and flavorful IPA, which beat 20 other breweries to claim the gold medal at the 2011 Fairfax Brewfest.
