Come on. Did you really think we would make it through the first quarter of 2015 without hearing new material from Thee Oh Sees? Yeah, neither did we…

Mutilator Defeated At Last is the full-length follow-up to last year’s Drop, and is set for a May 18 release on Castle Face Records. The album’s opening track, “Web” (previously exclusive to live shows), is now available to stream below via SoundCloud. Read on for more info on the band’s current roster and upcoming tour dates.

The band’s brief hiatus during the 2013-14 winter season paved the way for a few personnel changes, with LA-via-SF frontman John Dwyer remaining the only permanent member. According to reports from Pitchfork and Stereogum, the forthcoming LP’s lineup includes Dwyer, Tim Hellman, Nick Murray, Chris Woodhouse, and Brigid Dawson. Hellman and Murray previously collaborated with Dwyer on the Drop LP, while Woodhouse and Dawson have been credited on several of Thee Oh Sees’ critically acclaimed releases.

Thee Oh Sees have also announced their touring schedule for SXSW 2015 in Austin, which is right around the corner. Quoting Dwyer on his “Drop” refrain: “I expect to see them again, yeah! Oh yeah.”
