RPM Mardi Gras Benefit

Revolutions Per Minute is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that “helps artists make change” – that is, they provide support and strategy for artists looking to effect change through activism and philanthropy. Founded in 2005, RPM helps artists broker their large audiences into opportunities to shift public opinion, as well as to raise funds and awareness for worthy causes, and the company is holding a Mardi Gras Benefit Rock Show this Saturday, February 15 at The Chapel, with performances by The Wedding Present, Jon Langford, and Brass Band Mission … and we have two pairs of tickets to give away to on lucky reader of The Bay Bridged!

RPM’s Board of Directors and staff have a collective resume that reads like any child of the nineties’ CD rack – with past experience as managers and advisors to bands including Pearl Jam, The Beastie Boys, and R.E.M., the company personnel has been neck-deep in the philanthropy game for more than two decades. One recent effort involved working with My Morning Jacket to donate $1 to each ticket sold to one of nearly 100 nonprofits organizations in the fields of arts and music education, criminal justice, environment, economic justice, health care, and more. The company also worked with Yoko Ono and other artists to peacefully and democratically oppose hydraulic fracturing (or “fracking”) in New York.

So come out on Sunday night to help support a great company and cause, and find out below how to enter to win one of two pairs of tickets to the RPM Mardi Gras Benefit Rock Show.
