The Union Trade - A Place of Long Years

The Bay Bridged is proud to premiere the first single from The Union Trade’s forthcoming new album, A Place of Long Years, out on February 3 via local label Tricycle Records.

The single, called “Drakes Passage,” is a slow burn – a driving piece that builds upon steady anthemic jams, punctuated by a triumphant drumbeat. The single features Nate Blaz from Geographer on cello, which adds a lovely, solemn layer of melody to the song’s intricate structure.

Since the band’s debut album in 2008 (Everyday Including), The Union Trade have shown nothing but growth, putting out consistently solid and thoughtful post-rock.

To celebrate the release of A Place of Long Years, The Union Trade will be at the Rickshaw Stop on February 4, followed by a series of Northwest tour dates later in the month.
