Con Brio, Midtown Social to ring in 2015 at Rickshaw

Funkify your New Year’s Eve with a dose of Bay Area soul. Coming off a sold-out appearance at the Rickshaw Stop, Con Brio will be returning to headline the venue’s NYE party, and bringing Midtown Social with them.

Produced by UnderCover Presents, the same team that brings you inventive re-imaginings of classic albums, such as last year’s legendary performance of Sly and the Family Stone’s Stand!, this lineup seems tailor-made for a New Year’s event. Midtown Social makes varied, velvety soul and funk, and Con Brio is a sequinned throwback to the ’70s, ’80s, and other eras when showmanship could make or break a band. Sources tell us that there will be a disco ball and, of course, a complimentary champagne toast at the stroke of midnight. Trumpeter Will Magid supports.
