As previously mentioned, Castle Face’s Live in SF series will continue in January with a release from Ty Segall Band. Before the Ty Segall Band release comes out, however, it’s very much worth checking out the fourth installment in the Live in SF series, which features SF’s own Icky Boyfriends: Icky Boyfriends – Live in San Francisco.
As John Dwyer puts it:
That’s the Ickys, an acquired taste for people who maybe have eyes that feel natural when trolling the gutter for nutrition. These are stories of strung-out super heroes singing the praises of the old school San Francisco freak scene. Hilarious at times, genius always and as scuzzy as anything you could ever hear. Recorded masterfully by the Castle-Face engineers team at the grand SF Eagle.
Icky Boyfriends will be opening for Dwyer and Thee Oh Sees this Thursday and Friday at the Chapel, as presented by (((folkYEAH!))). Don’t miss this chance to see both bands in action during this two-night residency.
