Sporting Life

San Francisco’s Sporting Life have released a video for “Tsunami”, streaming via Impose magazine.

Not only a short-and-sweet video for a song that barely breaks two minutes, the video acts as a kind of calling card for their upcoming self-titled album. You can grab a download of “Tsunami” via Soundcloud.

Inspired in part by the earthquake and ensuing tsunami that hit Japan in 2011, and the humanity that surrounded it, “Tsunami” is part cautionary tale; a dark ode to “loving too strong”. The video looks like a grainy VHS found in stacks in your parents’ entertainment center, full of rushing subway trains and candid underground scenes.

Recorded at LightRail studios in Bayview, Sporting Life is due out February 3rd of next year.
