Sugar Candy Mountain

With the self-release of their debut record Mystic Hits under their belt, Oakland’s Sugar Candy Mountain are taking it one step further with a real, actual record. Check the lead single, “Soak Up The City,” below.

Originally self-distributed by the band in late 2013, Mystic Hits was picked up by Oakland label Royal Oakie, which is releasing it on the appropriately vintage mediums of vinyl and cassette. Cassettes contain a bonus track, “Copacabana”, not included on the original release.

Sugar Candy Mountain is the project of musicians-about-town Will Halsey, Ash Reiter, and a rotating cast of Bay Area friends who fill in as needed. The cassette version of Mystic Hits is already available via Bandcamp or at a merch table near you. LPs will be released on December 16.
