If you haven’t been to a show in the MEGADOME at Chabot Space & Science, time is running out. The monthly series has only 3 events left! Don’t miss your chance to kick back in the comfy theater seats with a tamale and a Tecate while enjoying the best local bands and 70mm films playing overhead!

This Saturday, November 15, be there for an evening of thankfulness with Crosby Morgan and The New Tenants.

Crosby Morgan’s debut release “Blessed Memory” is beautiful and heartbreaking.

The New Tenants are still in college yet stand poised to take over the world. Discover your new jam amongst the sweet harmonies and intelligent lyrics.

Saturday December 20, it’s a special Winter Solstice event with Sylvie Simmons and Fronds.

Sylvie Simmons is quite simply one of the great rock journalists of all time. She has interviewed Johnny Cash, Tom Waits and Lou Reed. She has written the book on Leonard Cohen and Serge Gainsbourgh. This month she releases her debut record, Sylvie. Surprise, the record is fabulous and brought rave reviews (even from the trolls at Rolling Stone magazine)! Intimate ukulele and vocal numbers will be the perfect match to the MEGADOME’s dreamy imagery.

Fronds are 75% of The Mallard and 100% amazing. If you were a fan of The Mallard you need Fronds now more than ever. Yet this is NOT The Mallard. This is entirely different: softer, hazier and more majestic.

Saturday, January 31 is the grand finale with Delmarva and Slouching Stars!!

Delmarva is instrumental ear candy. The band features Mark Gordon of the Titan Ups. There are surf guitar moments but so much more.

Slouching Stars will not be pigeon holed. They play rock n’ roll. Be ready to rock.

The MEGADOME series is brought to you by The Octopus Literary Salon. Sign up for their mailing list and stay in the loop on future happenings including the long awaited grand opening (on Webster at 22nd St., Oakland) in early 2015!
