Halloween comes early this year for fans of underground metal, with The Body and Sandworm playing a pair of shows together here in the Bay Area. The two Providence-based acts are touring together in support of an upcoming split LP, and they play The Night Light in Oakland tonight, followed by a performance at El Rio on Wednesday.

The Body recently collaborated with The Haxan Cloak on I Shall Die Here, introducing new elements to the duo’s macabre post-metal musings. The forthcoming split will mark Sandworm’s first proper release, with Ben Eberle and Pat Reilly proving a raw, guitar-centric spin on bleak, black metal.
