This Saturday, 40 local labels will converge on Thee Parkside for the second ever Bay Area Record Fair. Put on by RABBL in association with Father/Daughter Records and Professional Fans, BARF aims to unite “the best and brightest independent record labels from around the Bay Area for a day of community, celebration, and camaraderie.”
Aside from offering a great selection of labels like Father/Daughter, Polyvinyl, Slumberland, and Melters, BARF will hold a raffle with prizes including a Music Hall usb-1 Turntable, Sol Republic and Beats headphones, and gift certificates from Aquarius, 1-2-3-4 Go!, Stranded, and Explorist International, plus much more. The event starts at noon and is free, but you can fork over five bucks and get in at 11am for early access to the labels’ deep selections. More info below.
