Local, grungy rock band Buzzmutt is moving forward with their newest EP, Strange Planes of Surveillance.
Born from the ashes of Sid Arthur, some of the members’ former band, in 2012, Buzzmutt offers a heavy and deep sound. Their newest release combines 60s rock psychedelia with a notably noisy and aggressive twist, creating a reverie that is addicting. Dazed-out guitar riffs fill the tracks, a trance-like rhythm section keeps your head bobbing, and reverbed vocals fill in the space alongside numerous other ambient and psychedelic sounds. It’s a beautifully manipulated sound that’ll keep you listening.
