Hey, remember Lee Bob Watson? If not, what the hell is wrong with you? If you do remember, you’ve probably been wondering why you haven’t heard from him, and I’m happy to let you know that you’ll be hearing new material from him soon. The charming troubadour dubbed “a country gentleman” by NPR is back after somewhat of a hiatus, currently recording and performing as Lee Bob Watson and the Truth along with Josh Lippi and Steve Wyreman, (who also perform with A Million Billion Dying Suns). Lee & the Truth have an album recorded and in the mixing stage, and I personally can’t wait to hear what they’ll come up with.

To reacquaint yourself with Lee Bob, take a stroll down memory lane with The Best of Lee Bob: 2001-2011 below, followed by Josh Lippi’s new track, (which also features Wyreman) to possibly get a taste of where his new band can take you. Lee Bob and the Truth performs at a free show at Leo’s on Thursday, opening for Hot Einstein.

Note: A previous version of this post mentioned a show at Leo’s that has unfortunately been canceled.
