Zola Jesus‘ infectious lead single “Dangerous Days” has already caught the ears of NPR and Stereogum, and for good reason. The uptempo dance tune is the first forethought we have for Taigai, her next album out October 7 via Mute, and if this is our initial indication, chances are the whole album will get our hearts pumping.

She’s only 25, yet gives herself with something of a rebrand for the new record. “The music on the record is massive, with big brass and beats, crystal clear vocals,” she says. “It’s the most accessible music I’ve ever made, but also the most earnest and passionate. I gave everything for this record, more than ever before.”
