All you sensitive alt babies get ready, because Sebadoh and Thurston Moore have joined forces for a double bill at the Great American Music Hall on October 7th.
Thurston Moore is a pioneer in the alternative punk music scene. Being the front man of one of the most challenging and driving rock groups of the 90s, his work includes a diverse range; from his seminal guitar playing in Sonic Youth, to his now improvisational work that includes acoustic compositions and noise / metal disruptions, it’s really hard to say what this tour is going to reveal itself to be.
Touring in support of their most recent release, Defend Yourself, Sebadoh made waves in 2013 by releasing their first full length since 1999. The album, which is a charismatic reflection of Barlow’s deeply personal experiences, remains DIY to the bone by being entirely self-recorded and produced by the band.
So attend the show, and like, challenge the mainstream music while supporting DIY ethos, man.
