After undergoing a major renovation over the last eight months, San Francisco’s Nob Hill Masonic Center will reopen this September with an intriguing slate of shows lined up throughout the fall. Included in the venue’s first batch of post-reno shows are Old Crow Medicine Show, Pixies, Hall & Oates, Broken Bells, and The 1975.

Among the renovations to the Masonic are the addition of a new tiered and open floor, new concert stage and draping, new bars and concession stands, upgraded carpeting and flooring, and new lighting and art installations. The upgrades were done following a multi-year effort by concert promoter Live Nation to make the venue a regular stop for touring bands – an effort that was originally stalled by the auditorium’s Nob Hill neighbors and their concerns over the effect such a change would have on the area. The SF Planning Commission finally approved the changes in November and, less than a year later, the Masonic will be back up and running.

Check out mock-ups of the renovations and get the full list of upcoming shows over on the Masonic’s website.
