San Francisco’s Rin Tin Tiger headlines this Sunday’s Music Video Race premiere show at The Independent (they’re one of the 15 participating bands), and the alt-folk trio is prepping for the occasion with the release of a video of their own. Yup – in addition to whatever results from MVR, the boys in Rin Tin Tiger are dropping a separate video for “Bloodstains” from their 2013 album Splinter Remedies, and we’re happy to be premiering it today on The Bay Bridged.
The video for “Bloodstains” splices live performance clips with scenes of the band backstage, all filmed by Chris Carmichael and Fideo Productions during the band’s residency at Amnesia last month. The track’s frantic pace is matched by the rapid transitions between clips from Amnesia, which were edited together by bassist Sean E. Sullivan, and the backstage scenes not only give fans a peak behind the scenes, but they also inject a dose of comic relief into the video. Watch it below, and then get full details on the band’s gig at Sunday’s MVR premiere show at The Independent.
