After a brief hiatus, San Francisco’s favorite “secret” venue, Viracocha, is back to hosting live shows, quietly starting Tuesday night with an early performance from San Francisco’s soulful Con Brio. (RSVP required for admission). The antique store with the famous bathroom went through the San Francisco Entertainment Commission to legitimately register the space as a music venue, meaning shows in the cozy basement can now be properly promoted in the future.
Con Brio has recently undergone a few changes of their own, perhaps none more important than the addition of native Texan Ziek McCarter to lead vocals last year. As you can see in the new video for “Never be the Same”, which happened to be filmed at Viracocha, the man can sing. The video showcases McCarter’s impressive pipes and sweat and Viracocha’s intimacy. Look for “Never Be The Same” to appear on Con Brio’s forthcoming EP on Burning House Records this fall.
