Hometown heroes WATERS, fresh off a two-night stint of sold out shows at The Troubadour in LA, head back to San Francisco to play The Chapel on July 10. Few venues are a better fit for a homecoming show than The Chapel, especially for a band that started off the first six months of the year with such a bang. WATERS kicked off 2014 with a residency at Brick & Mortar Music Hall followed by a headlining Noise Pop Festival appearance and the release of an energetic new pop single “Got to My Head”. After their show at The Chapel on Thursday, the band gets to rest for just a couple weeks before heading to Las Vegas to open for Weezer at the Cosmopolitan.
Presented by tastemakers Live 105 and Neon Gold, WATERS’ show at The Chapel on Thursday starts with an opening set from another buzzworthy local, CATHEDRALS. With little more than a debut EP about to drop, Cathedrals (consisting of Brodie Jenkins of Ghost & Gale and Johnny Hwin, bassist of Blackbird Blackbird and the mind behind urban art-tech paradise The Sub) have already gained status as one of the most sought after new acts in The Bay.
