The team behind the Lower Haight’s favorite monthly dance series Push The Feeling recently unveiled some exciting news with the announcement of its eponymous record label. The imprint released its debut 12-inch on Monday, offering five different versions of “Skulls” by San Francisco/Los Angeles duo Silver Hands. In addition to the original recording from percussionist/resident DJ Drew Marcogliese and vocalist Liz Wight, the record also includes remixes from Mike Simonetti (Italians Do It Better) and Woolfy, plus local artists Chautauqua and YR SKULL. The Mike Simonetti remix closes out Gorilla Vs. Bear’s most recent monthly mix. Stream the new EP below, via SoundCloud.
Push The Feeling returns this Saturday at Underground SF with a special live set from Silver Hands, celebrating their inaugural release with the label. Push The Feeling’s Kevin Meenan will DJ as epicsauce, with Marcogliese pulling double duty with a YR SKULL DJ set in addition to performing live as half of Silver Hands. The party is free before 10pm with RSVP, and $6 thereafter.
