The Melt

Although it may be part of the current renaissance of mobile cuisine, calling The Melt a “food truck” would technically be inaccurate. Yes, The Melt is in fact a food bus, and the bus is coming to Phono del Sol Music Festival on July 12 in San Francisco.

The Melt dishes out some of the most mouth-wateringly delicious grilled cheese sandwiches you’ll ever feast your eyes (and mouth) on. From creative leftover-inspired creations like the Ballpark Melt (aged cheddar, all beef frank, and grilled onion with mustard on sourdough) to over-the-top gourmet delights like the Bird (Fontina, grilled chicken, baby spinach, and Caesar on sourdough), these folks know their way around this American classic and they aren’t afraid to experiment. Don’t fret – they’ve even got soups to match with your grilled cheese of choice, including some great stick-to-your ribs options like Two Tomato Basil and Spicy Black Bean.

Don’t miss your chance to see SF’s best summer festival featuring Wye Oak, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Nick Waterhouse, Blackbird Blackbird, White Fence, Yalls, Tony Molina, A Million Billion Dying Suns, The Tambo Rays, and Bill Baird. Described by Spin Magazine as “a D.I.Y. smash-up of moshables and noshables,” Phono del Sol offers a full day of affordable, all ages fun, including a handpicked selection of fantastic local food trucks and arts and crafts makers.

General Admission and VIP tickets to Phono del Sol are moving quickly and can be purchased right now on the festival ticketing page powered by Eventbrite.
