No matter how much our tastes might change over time, one food item has and will always remain on my “last meal on earth” itinerary: Ice cream. I will always choose ice cream. It doesn’t even necessarily need to be fancy ice cream. Remember that dirt-cheap Thrifty PayLess ice cream from our childhoods? That stuff was the best.
Having said that, the really good ice cream that’s becoming more and more common these days is simply divine, and the fact that there are so many choices in the Bay Area alone is a good problem to have. Next on my list to try is Post Street Creamery, a mobile ice cream stand usually serving artisanal ice cream at SoMa StrEat Food.
On July 12th, however, Post Street Creamery will be feeding the crowds at our own Phono del Sol – so after getting some tastes from Adam’s Grub Truck, Voodoo Van and Tacos San Bueno, be sure to treat yourself to ice cream from Post Street Creamery. I’m not sure how anyone would be able to choose between flavors like Coffee Caramel, Chocolate Chip Sweet Cream and Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter, so you might as well just try them all!
General Admission and VIP tickets to Phono del Sol are moving quickly and can be purchased right now on the Phono del Sol ticketing page powered by Eventbrite. Individual General Admission tickets are $25 each, with a limited number of discount six-packs also available as well as a VIP ticket package.
Described by Spin Magazine as “a D.I.Y. smash-up of moshables and noshables,” Phono del Sol offers a full day of affordable, all ages fun, including a handpicked selection of fantastic local food trucks and arts and crafts makers. More information about the festival – including sponsorship and volunteer opportunities – can be found at PhonoDelSol.com, and be sure to like the festival on Facebook too.
