Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison, performing with his new side project Owl John, is headlining The Chapel on Tuesday, but I’d encourage everyone to arrive early and check out opener Withered Hand. Scottish folk-rocker Dan Willson crafted one of my favorite albums of the year to-date, New Gods, an engaging work with lyrics that are just as compelling as the rich instrumentation. But don’t just take my word, the co-sign of Slumberland Records, or the fact that members of Black Tambourine, The Vaselines, and Belle & Sebastian appear on the album.
