Mahgeetah has been keeping quiet over the last few weeks, and for good reason. The San Francisco-based outfit is in the heat of recording their first EP, a process they’re taking slowly and steadily this time around. Since dropping their debut album Heavy Baby in 2012, Ryan Fisher, J.J. Mellon, Alex Swain and Tim Tyson have stretched their legs beyond the band’s initial Americana-tinged guitar rock and into groovier, up-beat territory where dancing is encouraged and drum samples aren’t out of the question. Mahgeetah is still months away from the record’s projected fall release, but you can catch the band and perhaps some new tunes tomorrow night at Neck of the Woods.

Joining the Bay Area quartet is Incan Abraham, a rhythmic dream pop outfit from Los Angeles who is on the road in support of their new album, Tolerance, as well as Vancouver’s modern folk singer/songwriter Jordan Klassen.
