Slow Motion Cowboys recently shared a video of their new track “Eight Ball”, which was shot and recorded live at Shipwreck Studios in Oakland. SMC frontman Pete Frauenfelder employs a non-conventional cadence on the track that gives it a more conversational feel and keeps you on your toes, setting it apart from your typical country or folk songs.
Slow Motion Cowboys recently wrapped up another tour of the Southwest, playing “honkytonks and biker bars, punk houses and legit venues,” according to Frauenfelder. Pete tells me they’re planning on hitting the studio again this summer to release something before their next tour in the fall. Slow Motion Cowboys will be playing their country songs at the Make-Out Room May 30 with Virgil Shaw, whose great album we told you about a few months ago.
