Following last week’s news that Wye Oak and Thao & The Get Down Stay Down will co-headline the 2014 Phono del Sol Music Festival on July 12, 2014 in San Francisco’s Potrero del Sol Park, The Bay Bridged is proud to announce four exciting new additions to the annual fest that the SF Weekly recently deemed a “classic summertime event.”
After releasing the acclaimed Holly LP earlier this year, Nick Waterhouse will bring his enthralling rock and roll show to Phono del Sol. He’ll be joined at the fest by garage-psych powerhouse White Fence, whose Phono performance arrives just ten days before the arrival of their Ty Segall-produced To The Recently Found Innocent LP on Drag City.
Berkeley experimental pop explorer Yalls and Oakland psych-pop songwriter Bill Baird round out the new additions to the festival, joining the previously announced Wye Oak, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Blackbird Blackbird, A Million Billion Dying Suns and The Tambo Rays.
General Admission and VIP tickets to Phono del Sol are moving quickly and can be purchased right now at PhonoDelSol.com. Individual General Admission tickets are $25 each, with a limited number of discount six-packs also available.
Described by Spin Magazine as “a D.I.Y. smash-up of moshables and noshables,” Phono del Sol offers a full day of affordable, all ages fun, including a handpicked selection of fantastic local food trucks and arts and crafts makers. More information about the festival — including sponsorship and volunteer opportunities — can be found at PhonoDelSol.com, and be sure to like the festival on Facebook too.
