For only being in existence for two years, Cool Ghouls have released a self-titled debut as a cassette on Burger Records and as an LP on Empty Cellar Records, filmed a seaside session with Yours Truly, shared a co-residency at Amnesia with Cellar Doors, and experimented with a live horn section – and they’re set to release a second full-length later this year. Garage rock protégés who cite their influences as “tall cans, 40s, blunts, parties, guns, 40s, crime,” they have seriously vamped up the Bay Area’s music scene.
