You may not recognize Josh Lippi‘s name, but there’s a good chance you’ve heard his work. As bassist for The Park, A Million Billion Dying Suns, and many more projects, Lippi has recorded and shared the stage with plenty of talented musicians, but he hasn’t recorded music he’s written or sung until now. Lippi began the process after spending eight months on the road with several acts, self-recording all the instruments in “The Torta Oven”, where The Park and A Million Billion Dying Suns have recorded much of their material.
Lippi has no plans for live solo shows as of yet, but we’d love for you to see him play bass with AMBDS at this year’s Phono del Sol. The first two solo tracks from Lippi, “Sirens” and “Tear me Down”, are both fuzzy and appropriately bass heavy rock and roll. Listen to them below.
