Fresh off their endearing and creative new documentary, Mistaken for Strangers, the National return to the Bay Area on April 27 for the first time since their moodier-than-thou live show descended upon Golden Gate Park last summer.

We think there’s little debate that the Greek Theatre is one of the best venues in the Bay for big production shows, especially when nature’s fog machine starts casting wisps over the band shell. Often cold and built from dreary concrete, it’s nearly impossible to think of a venue more suitable for the National’s dour tunes.
