As part of his 21st Birthday Circuit tour, Chance The Rapper will be playing The Warfield in San Francisco next week.
The Chicago-based rapper, who first started his career at 19, blew into the scene with his first mixtape 10 Day and as a supporting act for Childish Gambino. Since then, Chance has been gaining traction, incorporating jazz, blues, and other genres into his sound. Tracks like “Nostalgia” take slower beats and really show his lyrical techniques, while “Prom Night” is jazzy and funky. Chance can mess around with genres – having a track that is hyphy adjacent to a track that is smooth – and still keep an essence that is all his.
Before hitting all the festivals he has planned for the next months, though, Chance will be stopping by San Francisco to give some love to the hip-hop heads in the area. We’ve got tickets to give away!
