Generation Loss

One of the cool new features of our redesigned home page is a “featured album” player in the right-hand column, where we’ll be spotlighting a great recent release from a Bay Area band every few weeks. Our latest featured album is the self-titled tape from Generation Loss, out now on Cut-Rate Records. As Jason mentioned in writing up the album a little while back, the names behind this band speak volumes: Kyle Crawford has long been championing great local bands with his label Wizard Mountain and Hannah Lew’s post-Grass Widow output is a seemingly never-ending series of exciting projects. The tape was also produced by Fuzz’s Charles Moothart, but enough background. The tape is a killer slice of lo-fi punk rock, and an exciting debut for this band.

Listen to the entire album below and, if you’re reading this on April 9, you can see Generation Loss TONIGHT at The Knockout with CCR Headcleaner and Destruction Unit.
