As previously mentioned, our own Mike G. (using the name Mike E.G. for this particular project) has recently been busy with The Mysticist: a cyberpunk novel set to a rock soundtrack. The novel and its companion album, Beating the Drum of the Deathless, will both be out on April 29th via FreemadeSF.
A launch party for the project is scheduled for April 27th at Brick & Mortar, and is shaping up to be a really unique evening of book readings, live music, and food:
FreemadeSF is celebrating the launch of Mike E. G.’s new novel + album, “The Mysticist,” with a night of book readings and live music.
Book readings with live score by Dominica Phetteplace, Nick Mamatas, Tim Pratt, Mike E. G., and more! RSVP now to stay up to date as we announce more details.
We’ll also have delicious food by Fiddlehead Supper Club–not to be missed!
“The Mysticist” is a cyberpunk coming of age tale–what might have happened if Philip K. Dick wrote On The Road and set it in the year 2054. It is more than just a novel though–it also includes an album called “Beating the Drum of the Deathless,” selections from which will be played live by Mike E. G.’s band Face Tat at the party.
