Oakland’s Legionnaire Saloon deserves major props for being what I’m pretty sure is the only venue in town with regularly scheduled live hip hop and heavy metal events. Monday’s in April, they’re turning their stage over to the twangy sounds of TV Mike and the Scarecrowes. Mike and crew are bringing along a great collection of Bay Area artists, both as opening acts and guests for TV Mike sets.

Openers include M. Lockwood Porter and Luke Sweeney, while guests performing with the Scarecrowes will be Andy Cabic of Vetiver, Matt Adams of the The Blank Tapes, Mark Matos, and many more. Each night will have a completely unique sets of covers and originals that I’m sure will keep you on your toes.
