Warm Soda album cover

Warm Soda’s Matthew Melton croons about wanting to lose control and tired hearts in their latest single, “Young Reckless Hearts”. Featuring jangly guitars and happy power chords, the track is a true pop gem that serves as the perfect catalyst for their forthcoming album due March 11 on Castle Face Records.

With their sophomore album, the band has opted for a far more mellowed out sound; Take their track “When Your Eyes Meet Mine”, which slows it down quite a bit and features major T. Rex influences.

To commemorate these power pop ditties, Warm Soda is having an album release show at the Hemlock Tavern with Oakland’s Big Tits and Austin’s Dimples on March 2. The show also serves as a kick off tour as Big Tits and Warm Soda embark on their 2014 “Renegade Mode” Tour, which features extensive dates that reach as far as Texas and the Northwest.

The bands have also released a “cassingle” to go along with the announcement, which can be purchased now from Melton’s Fuzz City Records. A limited edition run of 500, the tapes are up for pre-order now on Fuzz City’s website.
