Luke Sweeney is hosting an advance listening party for his new record Adventure:Us tonight at Vacation, the clothing store/art gallery in the Tenderloin that has been hosting quite a few cool shows lately. The listening party will feature complimentary cocktails and free food, but best of all, a live performance by Sweeney and his band (sometimes known as Wet Dreams Dry Magic) playing songs from the album.

That video is part of Luke’s “Failed Auditions” series, released in the run-up to the premiere of the video for the first single from Adventure:Us, so stay tuned to his YouTube channel. The video is slated for release to coincide with Sweeney’s Noise Pop appearance on February 26 with The Fresh & Onlys and Sandy’s.
No exact release date has been set for Adventure:Us just yet, but you bet your sweet bippy we’ll let you know when it’s announced. In the meantime, here’s Luke’s last album, Ether Ore (this dude is handy with a pun, huh?), to tide you over until tonight:
