San Francisco’s soulful rock and roll band The Soft White Sixties are releasing their debut GET RIGHT. LP on March 4, and The Bay Bridged has the honor of premiering a brand new track from the forthcoming album today. Stream “Lemon Squeezer” below (via SoundCloud). You can also count on hearing this catchy new song live at Noise Pop this month. The local four-piece outfit will headline a gig at The Chapel on Friday, February 28 with NO (Los Angeles), The She’s, and Cannons and Clouds.
GET RIGHT. finds Octavio Genera (lead vocals), Aaron Eisenberg (guitar/keys), Joey Bustos (drums), and Ryan Noble (bass/vocals) taking cues from classic R&B and rock sounds on a collection of ten energetic pop songs. The album was recorded in Berkeley at Opus Studios and produced by Jim Greer. It’s definitely one of the must-hear local releases of the year. The Soft White Sixties performed at Outside Lands last year, and were named as one of Paste Magazine’s “Top 25 Shows at SXSW 2013.”
