Bridge Collapse

The fearless ladies of San Francisco’s Grass Widow have been known for their minimalist post-punk approach to music and impressive array of side projects. In the seven or so years of their creative endeavors, we’ve seen drummer Lillian Marling produce side project Ruby Pins and bassist Hannah Lew create a new label under the moniker Crime on the Moon.

The first release on the label was Lew’s personal project Cold Beat, which featured a multitude of Bay Area artists including (now debunk) the Mallard’s Greer McGettick and Shannon and the Clams‘ Cody Blanchard.

We can now expect a second release from Crime on the Moon that features Lew and Grass Widow vocalist Raven Mahon under the name Bridge Collapse. As Bridge Collapse, the pair have created an entirely new sound that features abrasive guitar feedback and underlying spoken word passages.

Available February 11, the 7″ is a limited pressing with each cover featuring a unique hand silkscreened image. Check out the single from their 7″, entitled “Wilderness”, which features Rank/Xerox’s Jon Shade on drums.
