WillCall Nightlife & New Tech

Tomorrow evening at The Chapel, WillCall is teaming up with two San Francisco city offices, the Office of Economic Workforce Development and the Entertainment Commission, to present a panel discussion on the state of the music scene in San Francisco. The panel, which will be moderated by Donnie Dinch, will include Different Fur Studios‘ Patrick Brown, Ian S. Port of SF Weekly, Julie Schuchard from Mezzanine and Tricycle Records, and Alexis Giles of Mox.TV.

The timely event, coming in the wake of a few high profile departures of SF-based musicians for greener (or, at least, cheaper) pastures, the heightened tension surrounding the effect of the latest wave of tech workers descending upon the City, and a slew of opinion pieces on the issue, should provide one of the best forums yet for discourse about the current state of SF’s music and arts scene, with some the City’s most recognizable faces in independent music. And, as always with WillCall, you can RSVP for the event on their app.
