Folk singer Angelica Rockne just released “Human Being”, the first single from her forthcoming EP entitled What Will I Dream. You may recognize Rockne’s voice if you’ve spent time listening to Evil Eyes – Rockne was briefly a member of the band and provided backing vocals on Evil Eyes’ Borderlines LP. The lonely “Human Being” shows Rockne is just fine on her own. Rockne’s voice is strong, but brings an uneasy desperation and tension to the song that gives the track a bit of an edge that is often lacking in your typical folk song of heartbreak. Rockne, who splits time between San Francisco and a cabin in Grass Valley, will be releasing What Will I Dream later this year.
