In the past year, Cool Ghouls hasn’t just become one of the best local rock n’ roll bands – the quartet is taking the San Francisco music scene by the hand and running with it. Worried about the so-called departure of a certain upbeat garage rock local hero? Look no further than Cool Ghouls debut LP and vibrant live show.
In case you haven’t caught the band live yet, now’s the time. Cool Ghouls kicked off their US tour last night at the Rickshaw Stop alongside Mikal Cronin, setting forth on eleven scheduled stops before returning to Brick and Mortar Music Hall on January 26th.
In a recent team up with Yours Truly, the Ghouls revealed the hidden story behind “Grace”, a track from their self-titled record. YT captures the band on the beach, complete with the four core members and adding a wind section with two horns and a sax. The result is something to be seen, if only for how genuine “Grace” sounds in the misty beach weather, or the sheer joy radiating from the band.
