Travis Hayes - Warm Bodies

San Francisco local singer-songwriter Travis Hayes has a brand new song, premiering right here. The self-released track, called “Warm Bodies” features vocals sung by both Hayes and Emily Whitehurst of the band Survival Guide.

The pairing is clever. As typical of Hayes songwriting work, the vocals are definitely a stand out element of the song – the lyrics are heartfelt and deliberate, emphasized by the duo’s harmonization. The result is a little folk rock, with a touch of emo-rock nostalgia, and certainly something worth listening to more than once. If you’re in need of a song to curl up to by the fire and end 2013 to, “Warm Bodies” might be it.

You can also catch Travis Hayes performing live at Bottom of the Hill on Thursday, in celebration of the release of this new single. Also performing are Snow Angel, Sea Lioness, and City Tribe. Not at all a bad way to spend a midwinter night. Stream the premiere of “Warm Bodies” below!
