The Reverberation Appreciation Society just announced the first round of bands set to play the 7th annual Austin Psych Fest, which will be held the weekend of May 2-4, 2014, at Austin’s Carson Creek Ranch. The three-day party will be headlined by the likes of 1980s alternative rock champions Primal Scream and Loop, the legendary psych pop band The Zombies, post-punk leaders The Horrors and of course, psychedelic torch bearers and the festival’s creators, The Black Angels. Joining their ranks will be local outfits Joel Gion & the Primary Colours, the latest project of Brian Jonestown Massacre‘s iconic tambourine player, and  Shannon and the Clams, who just played San Francisco’s only rock and roll and beer festival, The Bay Brewed.
