The Ian Fays‘ fourth LP, The Most Spectacular Party, is hot off the presses! Recorded at Jackpot! Recording Studio in Portland, the band will play a release show up that way on November 30 at Alahambra’s Tebbets Lounge before heading off to tour Italy. For those of us stuck here, they are also doing a great video project. The Fays will release one video each week for the next eleven weeks (one for each song on the record). For the uninitiated, SF’s Ian Fays are pure pop bliss. The band consists of three (yes, three) sisters and two of them are twins. The keyboard-driven songs are catchy as can be with whispery vocal harmonies. Early recordings were heavy on the boyfriend/drinking songs, but expect something different now that Lizz Fay just gave birth to her first child, Stella! All three sisters are special education teachers and super kind-hearted souls. Check out their music and be sure to catch them live when they return to the US in early 2014.
